If you except you'll read a story about a courtesan and her life, only and above all, then you are wrong. The title of this novel is "In the Company of the Courtesan", so beside her, the courtesan, you'll meet her pimp as well as other characters who have influenced their lives.

It's also a story about a strange triangle: the courtesan Fiammetta, presented not only with beauty, but also with wit and intelligence; Bucino, the courtesan's pimp who is her dwarf or a courtesan's dwarf who is her pimp that can also pass as a juggler and buffoon, a philosopher and accountant; La Draga, the mysterious blind healer, who becomes Fiammetta's friend and confidant, but a thorn in Bucino's flash. La Draga never becomes a full member of Fiammetta's and Bucino's partnership; Bucino sees to it. He does not trust her, he is in fear of her, yet, there is something in her that excites his interest in... When he finally understands, all of it, it's too late.

It's Bucino's story; he must tell it. And he does. All of it.

Hello, my friends!

I've been away for a while, enjoying a subtropical weather, Euro 2008 (some football matches are worth to be watched once again, for instance, Holland - Russia), good books (I will introduce them some other time), walks, and allergy to sun. Yes, I'm allergic to sun; the skin on my arms which is only exposed to the sun has broken out in red, itchy rashes. I'm cooling them with Aloe Vera Gel, but so far they have been persistent in torturing me. Sometimes I so want to grab a hairbrush and...

I'm going to post a link to the slideshow of pictures I took on 19 April 2008, Pot spominov in tovarištva/Path of Remembrance and Comradeship (The Green Ring) with my mobile phone. The weather was typically April's; the sun gave a hand to grey clouds and played the game of surprise. You'll see my Dad, trees in full bloom, meadows, drying-frames, a fallen Dinosaur tree, some buildings/greenhouses that belong to the Department of Biology of Biotechnical Faculty of Ljubljana...

I realize (that) some photos are somewhat dark and of bad quality - I took them with my mobile phone, Sony Ericsson K530i - but I would really like to know what you think about the composition of pictures. Did I do something wrong, what and which one I ruined? What should I be aware or mindful of in the future?

Croatia has beaten Germany. First goal scored Srna (my dear Srna) and second Olič, and after that Podolski shook the Croatian's goal scoring a goal of honour for Germany. I couldn't understand the referee of the match: he's been totally in love with yellow and red cards in the last minutes of the match.

Oh, it was an exhausting afternoon!

Finally, Euro 2008 has made a start.

I'm not into football, but at such big occasions I'm glued in front of the TV, and nothing can chase me away. This time Slovenia won't be there. It dropped out from the qualification early and infamously. However, my birth country, Croatia, has succeeded to classify. Of course, I'm going to shout for our boys (a half of them are coming from Dalmatia and this is it - my Motherland). The other team that will get my support and cost me several breakdowns is the Swedish team, because of Zlatan Ibrahimović. But there is another team I will shout for it, loudly and passionately - that's the Portuguese team. Why? Are you really asking me WHY?

Fuck, if I understand him. Obviously, I'm not the only one with "I don't get it!" problem. morgandawn doesn't get it either.

Today was such a lovely day I couldn't stay at home. I needed to go out, feel the sun and wind. Even thought I was very behind with B/J stories, it couldn't stop me going out. So I took my mobile phone and always present cigarettes and lighter, and - Let's go!

I chose a path called Pot spominov in tovarištva (PST)/The Path of Remembrance and Comradeship.

I took a walk only 4 or 5 km long. I walked fast as if I were pursued by the demons. I could feel pain in my gelatine muscles but I was determined. I wanted to go the whole circle, PST and a cycle track through the woods, but as I am afraid of dogs, I changed my mind when I saw big dogs running around. Why the fuck don't the owners hold their dogs in leash?

Well, I took some pictures. However, I left my Kodak Monster at home, so I used my mobile phone.

There was a singer, I could not and could not find who she was, what her name was. I went into strange ways to find out her identity: I tried to catch lyrics and after that sing them to my co-workers, but of course, they could not help me because my singing was for shit and far away from original.

It was in the middle of September, when four of us made a decision to take a trip to the mountain village of Janče, expecting to find chestnuts. Of course, there were a lot of chestnuts, but still hidden in crowns of the trees, safely captured in its prickly garment. It was too early for them, here on the top of the hill. Yet, we had a wonderful day, filled up with unexpected adventures.
